Welcome. This site is a service of the Santa Monica Mountains Fund on behalf of other park agencies and partners working on behalf of the Backbone Trail. Longterm, our goal is to build an even larger community that includes the users, the volunteers and the donors with whom we work collaboratively to make the Backbone Trail one of the premier recreation assets of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, our Nation’s largest urban national park.

The website is new and under construction, but we welcome any comments, suggestions for materials, corrections, or other information you think can be helpful to us in this effort. In the meantime, feel welcome to visit our principal site at www.samofund.org, in some cases you’ll find answers more quickly simply because that internet location is more regularly maintained.
